Omega-3 fatty acids are poly unsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) found in vegetable and animal kingdom. Alpha Linolenic acid (ALA), the parent fatty acid of Omega-3 family is an essential fatty acid (EFA). They are not synthesised by the body and must be supplemented through diet.

Omega-3 fatty acids are required for many of the important functions of the body. However, they cannot be manufactured by body. Hence, they are called essential fatty acids and must be obtained from dietary sources.

Flax is a yellow flowering plant that is grown for its oil rich seeds.
Flaxseed oil is the richest vegetarian source of the essential omega-3 fatty acids that the body requires for proper functioning. Flaxseed oil contains:
• Active ingredients capable of lowering cholesterol level and reducing platelet aggregation
