Herbagut Protects Mucous Membrane.

Some of the phytochemicals present in the polyherbal extract   increases mucosa blood flow as well as mucous production thus helps protecting it.

Herbagut controls Functional Motility Diarrhea, Absorptive Diarrhea, Secretary Diarrhea

Diarrhea caused by increased motility, lack of absorption or excess secretion is controlled by properly controlling the causative factor.

Herbagut Controls Flatulence

Flatulence is controlled by properly digesting carbohydrates. Undigested carbohydrate reaching the large intestine causes gas by interacting with the bacteria present in the large intestine.

Herbagut Controls Constipation.

Constipation caused either by slow transit (Slow Transit Constipation-STC) or by less fluid in feces is properly controlled by stimulating the  gastric motility  or improving peristaltic movement.

Herbagut is anti-bacterial

It destroys pathogenic bacteria like H.Pylori and supports good bacteria needed for a healthy gut

     1. Does our body contains bacteria?

Yes, mouth (oral cavity), colon and small intestine contains bacteria, the number of bacteria in small intestine is much less when compared to that in large intestine.

     2. What is the purpose of colon bacteria

The colon doesn’t have the same surface as the small intestine, so it depends on bacteria to break down the undigested food that reaches the colon. It is for this reason that the large intestine is home to most of our gut bacteria.

     3. What is Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO)

Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) is caused when normal bacteria enters the small intestine in large numbers, causing havoc. A healthy small intestine only has

a fraction of the bacteria that the colon has. This is because the primary purpose of the small intestine is to absorb and digest food, through the release of enzymes via the villi and microvilli.

     4. What are the major symptoms of SIBO

    • Bloating
    • Cramping
    • Constipation
    • Diarrhea
    • Alternating constipation and diarrhea

5.What is the  result of SIBO

Instead of allowing the villi and microvilli to absorb nutrients from the food, the bacteria digest it instead, causing it to ferment. A bi-product of the bacteria’s digestion is methane and/or hydrogen gas, which is only produced by the bacteria and not our bodies. The other side effect of SIBO is damage to the villi and microvilli, which results in nutrients not being absorbed resulting in fatigue, hormonal imbalances, and restless leg syndrome.

6.How herbagut helps in controlling SIBO.

It controls pathogenic bacteria, supports good bacteria, aids digestion and in general improves gut health.  Herbal antimicrobial is better compared to antibiotics to control SIBO. A study conducted in America compared the results of patients who had been diagnosed with SIBO. One group were given an antibiotic, rifaximin and the others were given herbal antimicrobials. Four weeks later they were re-tested and 46% of the patients given herbal antimicrobials had got rid of their SIBO, as opposed to only 36% of the patients given antibiotics.

     7. Does stress has any effect on your gut?

Yes, Indeed. Cortisol is known as the stress hormone and is released from the adrenal glands. Once we slip into a state of chronic stress, our bodies are being constantly flooded with cortisol, which causes many problems affecting the immune system, thyroid function and metabolism. Chronic stress has a significant impact on our digestion too since it diverts blood supply away from digestive system.

     8. How does herbagut helps in stress control?

Herbagut contains phytochemicals that are antidepressant and also it contains phytochemicals that render cortisol in its inactive form.
