If you have diabetes, then there is a high risk of suffering from high cholesterol. Diabetes tends to increase LDL cholesterol and decreases HDL cholesterol in the body.

It mainly depends on your risk for heart disease.
1. Normal blood cholesterol level
-It should be less than 200, but it also depends on your HDL and LDL levels.
2. LDL cholesterol levels
– less than 130 is best, it is considered high if it is above 160mg/dl
3. HDL cholesterol levels
– 60 or more reduces your risk for heart disease
– less than 150 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl) is considered best
